General Information

The ESPGHAN IBD Porto Group and the Local Organising Committee are delighted to announce the 7th Paediatric IBD Masterclass to take place in St. Petersburg, Russia from 07 - 09 July 2022.

The goals are to review important aspects of diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents. This ESPGHAN Masterclass is for practicing pediatric gastroenterologists who wish to improve their clinical skills in managing paediatric IBD. Trainees could be accepted based on availability. Preference will be given to ESPGHAN members.

The ESPGHAN Paediatric IBD Porto Group is a group of paediatric IBD experts from ESPGHAN whose goals are to generate collaborative international research and to provide a leadership role concerning current diagnosis and management of IBD in children.

This school is planned for onsite participation only. We will be carefully monitoring the situation in Russia and Europe as well as national COVID-19 regulations. ESPGHAN reserves the right to postpone/cancel the course or change its current format if deemed necessary to protect the health of our delegates, faculty and staff.

Applicants need to submit a current CV and motiviation letter detailing why they think they should be selected. Due to the hybrid format, applicants will need to further indicate their attendance preferene (onsite or virtual).
The number of applicants is limited and delegates will be selected by the organizers after the application deadline. As we are keen to provide knowledge to as many delegates as possible, participants of previous ESPGHAN IBD Masterclasses will not be considered.

Cost Coverage

ESPGHAN will cover the following for international onsite delegates:

  • up to 2 nights accommodation in a pre-arranged hotel (organised by ESPGHAN)

Trainees and delegates from low-resource countries will further be granted travel refund up to EUR 250. If you are not a Young ESPGHAN Member, kindly provide a confirmation of your trainee status to office@espghan.org upon application.
