Surgical Aspects in Paediatric Gastroenterology

June 01 - 03, 2023
LEEDS, UNITED KINGDOM

General Information

We are delighted to invite you to the first surgical education event organised by ESPGHAN.
Surgery is essential in the diagnosis and treatment of many paediatric gastrointestinal (GI) disorders. Working collaboratively with the paediatric surgeons in the diagnosis, treatment, possible complications and follow up of these pathologies are key aspects for a paediatric gastroenterologist.

In addition, the ESPGHAN approved Syllabus (European Training Requirements for Training in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition) requires this knowledge. The aim of this course is to discuss and understand GI pathologies in which the surgical intervention is vital; the event is addressed to an audience of young gastroenterologist and allied health professionals like nutrition and bowel nurses but also to more senior clinicians who wish to get a better understanding of a multidisciplinary team approach for these conditions.
