Research Grant initiative

ESPGHAN is committed to supporting research efforts of its members into all aspects of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. As a society we aim to further our understanding of health and disease within the remit of ESPGHAN ultimately improving the life of children. ESPGHAN members are leaders in their fields many of which are research active. Importantly, supporting basic and translational research within ESPGHAN and encouraging young investigators to develop a research interest are key strategic pillars that the future of ESPGHAN will be built on.

The council in close collaboration with working groups, special interest groups and the scientific committee has therefore developed a new ESPGHAN research grant scheme which aims at supporting basic, translational and clinical research in all areas of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. We particularly encourage young investigators to apply for these unique funding opportunities.

In the first round of research grants up to 5 awards are available. The value of each grant will be up to a maximum of EUR 100.000,00 for a maximum duration of 24 months.

Amount: up to EUR 100.000,00

Any ESPGHAN member is eligible to apply.

Focus on Young Investigators
ESPGHAN is committed to support young investigators, particularly those who are showing great promise to develop into leaders in their field. Applications from those individuals is therefore strongly encouraged.
