The ESPGHAN Pediatric Endoscopy Summer School is a comprehensive educational program designed to bridge the gap between novices and experts in the field of pediatric endoscopy.
This workshop spans three enlightening days, offering a deep dive into the intricacies of pediatric endoscopic procedures, providing a platform for invaluable networking, and delivering hands-on experience that can shape your expertise in this vital medical discipline.

The journey begins with an exploration of essential topics in pediatric endoscopy. Esteemed experts will share their insights on ESPGHAN's training guidelines, offer tips and tricks for upper GI endoscopy, discuss patient selection criteria, and provide strategies for managing complications during procedures.
On the second day, the focus turns to the application of endoscopy in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Experts will delve into topics such as mucosal healing, imaging techniques, live case demonstrations, and the assessment of disease activity in real-world scenarios.
The final day underscores the significance of simulation in pediatric endoscopy. Participants will have the opportunity to hone their skills by performing endoscopic procedures on simulation models, all while benefiting from the guidance of seasoned faculty members.
The workshop culminates with an assessment and certification process to recognize your achievements.

The course language is English.
This course is part of the ESPGHAN Education Partner Programme.

ESPGHAN Member EUR 200.00
Non-Member EUR 350.00

Application process: The number of participants is limited and a delegates will be selected by the local organisers after the deadline. Applicants will be selected based onr CV and a motivation letter. Previous endoscopy training is required for participation. Priority will be given to ESPGHAN Members. ESPGHAN Members may attend two courses per year and non-members may attend one course before becoming members of the society.

10:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Simulation Exercices in Simulation Centers (Sara Renzo, Monica Paci, Jacopo Barp) Participants perform endoscopic procedures on simulation models, supervised by faculty members.

 

1:00-1:30: Assessment and Certification

 

The inclusion of live case sessions and simulation exercises enhances the practical learning experience for participants, allowing them to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios and receive guidance from experienced faculty members.
