General Information

The AHP Summer School is aimed at dietitians, nurses and other AHPs (speech and language, psychology, OT) involved in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. No specific background is requested. AHP summer schools enable AHP’s to be up to date with the latest evidence and knowledge.  

After the Summer School, participants should: 

  • Have an overview of the conditions covered with access to up-to-date literature/guidelines. 
  • Have the chance to discuss how to navigate, implement and advance appropriate clinical management to their patients.
  • Have the chance to discuss their complex cases in an interactive environment.

The course language is English. 
This school is supported by the ESPGHAN Education Partner Programme.

 The ESPGHAN AHP Summer School is designed to: 

  • Offer a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutritional conditions providing knowledge and practical training in an interactive environment.
  • Offer unique opportunities to learn from and interact with an expert faculty from various European centres, as well as participants from around the world. 
  • Give delegates the opportunity to present their work and/or research and receive feedback from the faculty. 

Application & Fees

Application will open in May 2026. 

Participation fee: 

AHP members: 120 EUR 
Non-members: 170 EUR 

Application process: Applicants will be required to upload the following documents:

  • CV  
  • Motivational letter 
  • Clinical case abstract (summary of a clinical case, or a research abstract) 
  • letter of support from manager, or from AHP member.

Please do not make travel arrangements before receipt of a formal confirmation of acceptance from the ESPGHAN Office. The number of participants is limited and a selection will be made by the school organisers after the deadline. Priority will be given to ESPGHAN Members.
ESPGHAN Members may attend two courses per year and non-members may attend one course before becoming members of the society

Delegates are expected to attend the full course and arrange their travel according to the course schedule.
