11th IBD Masterclass

General Information

The PIBD Masterclass 2026 in Oxford will bridge progress in basic science towards clinical practice in paediatric IBD.
In the clinical focus section, will aim to highlight challenging case exemplars, discuss mechanism and evidence-based recommendations. This will cover take home messages from the expected updated Crohn’s and UC guidelines and difficult case presentations. 
Focusing on translational science, we will discuss environmental factors, disease mechanisms and emerging diagnostics and therapies.
As a highlight will offer participants to sequence and interpret a human genome (Hands on basic science based on nanopore sequencing). The State-of-the-art lecture will cover the field of mucosal immunology.

The course language is English.
This school is supported by the ESPGHAN Education Partner Programme.

Non-Member: EUR 250.00

Applicants need to submit a current CV and motiviation letter detailing why they think they should be selected. 
The number of applicants is limited and delegates will be selected by the Porto Group after the application deadline. As we are keen to provide knowledge to as many delegates as possible and due to the high number of applicants for this activity, applicants who participated in this course after 2020 cannot be considered.

ESPGHAN Members may attend two courses per year and non-members may attend one course before becoming members of the society.

Delegates are expected to attend the full course and arrange their travel according to the course schedule.
