JPGN Reports

General Information

ESPGHAN and NASPGHAN have begun accepting submissions for the new publication.
JPGN Reports is an online only, peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes novel and impactful case reports, original articles, clinical trials protocols, review articles, brief communications (preliminary results), letters to the editor, selected meeting proceedings, clinical hypotheses, editorials, and commentaries on all aspects of clinical and translational research, educational, and public health issues in the area of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition.
JPGN Reports also welcomes novel exploratory hypothesis-generating research, qualitative and quantitative epidemiologic research, studies of novel mechanisms and methodologies including public health interventions, hypothesis-generating small studies, methods papers, and translational research applicable for pediatric pathogenesis and physiology in health and disease.

JPGN Reports was created in response to the societies’ membership’s growing desire to have a home for their case reports and other clinical articles that cannot all be accommodated in Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (JPGN) due to issues such as space.

JPGN Reports and PubMed

Update: We were  recently approved...Every journal needs to be indexed for published articles to be citable, which then lead to the journal having an Impact Factor. As a new journal, JPGN Reports was assessed and approved, for articles to be in PubMed Central.

We expect JPGN Reports to have an impact factor (IF) in the coming years, as the IF is based on citations in the prior two years.

Please feel free to contact Managing Editor Phyllis Barr (jpgneueditor@gmail.com), or either of us, if you have any questions.

We look forward to your contributions!
